St. Joseph’s Hospital, Wakiso launched a Subsidised Eye Care Program with Centenary Bank

In an effort to enhance access to healthcare for underserved populations, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Wakiso has partnered with Centenary Bank , Mengo Hospital, Light For The World, Ssaza Busiro and Rotary Club of Wakiso to introduce a groundbreaking Subsidized Care Program in June. This initiative is designed to reduce financial barriers to essential medical services, ensuring that more individuals and families can receive the care they need.

The program was launched by Mr. Fabian Kasi the Managing Director and the event was graced with the presence of Msgr. Charles Kasibante the Vicar General of Kamapala Archdiocese, Oweek. Kiberu the Ssebwana of Busiro, Hajji Haruna of SH Hardware, the religious leaders and members from the community. During the event, over 400 patients received subsidized eye care services.

St. Joseph’s Hospital Wakiso has consistently demonstrated its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the community, particularly in the area of eye care. During the previous months from  June till date. the hospital organized a series of eye care services outreaches that benefited numerous individuals in Wakiso and surrounding districts. Throughout the quarter, St. Joseph’s Hospital Wakiso also provided ongoing eye care services at its facility, including routine check-ups, surgeries, and optical services. The hospital’s eye unit witnessed a significant increase in patient numbers, demonstrating the community’s trust in the hospital’s services.
