DR. CLAIRE REBECCA LUSOBYA

She is a pediatric Ophthalmologist from Uganda and has just completed her fellowship at Aravind Eye Hospital India (31 st/ March/ 2024). Currently, She is a lecturer in the ophthalmology department at Makerere University College of Health Sciences. With five years of experience in medical and surgical management of various eye conditions, particularly in hard to-reach areas, Dr Rebecca is dedicated to teaching theory and clinical skills to undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, She provides patient care and oversee residents’ research work and dissertation writing. As the head of the research directorate for this unit, she is actively involved in organizing and participating in research-related activities such as symposiums.
